This handy Abaca bag has plenty of room for coins, key. lipstick. It is hand-made of Abaca, also called Manila Hemp, which is the stongest natural plant fiber that exists. It is hand dyed in bright colors. The bag is lined with a fine cotton linen to keep small thing from slipping out. The plastic zipper with metal pull tab closes tightly to keep your valuable possessions inside. The bag is 3.5 inches x 2.5 inches x 1.5 inches.

Uses of abaca with which you may be familiar are for tea bags, and excellent rope. Prior to the introduction of synthetic rope, "Manila" rope was used by the navies of the world, including the British and the United States navies.

Abaca is known for it's strength, durability, and resistance to salt water. Abaca can be made into coarse or fine cloth. It can be used in it's natural color or it takes dyes very well.
